If for no other reason than to move that picture of Dobby down the page, I feel compelled to write another entry. I have just ended a week of near-blissful near-solitude. As the end of the term approached, I began to see my “extrovertedness” dwindling and began to feel almost desperate for some uninterrupted time alone. So, since my housemate and most of my social circle left for the Kenyan coast shortly after our term and the subsequent Spiritual Life Conference, I enjoyed a week of having the house to myself. Well, technically, I was sharing it with Dobby, but usually I’d just put him outside for as long as my conscience would allow, or, if I was downstairs, lock him upstairs so that he wouldn’t bother me.
I thought a week of doing things like reading, emailing, msning, crossword puzzling, watching TV and movies and the like would be enough, but I don’t think it was. I wonder if I would ever have really gotten my fill. It was certainly very pleasant. Now it is time to return to the real world and get to work on some of the things on my To-Do List.
I feel a sudden urgency, since next week is full of Christmas activities and the week following Christmas is our staff inservice and then arrival day. How can my vacation be slipping away so quickly? And what does it take to get my energy back?

A week wouldnt be enough for me either. Happily? I will never experience the pain of ending a week like that... Lucky girl.
awww... I would like a week like that too. I get some time over Christmas, but I really think it'll be more like busy Christmas stuff and not necessarily seclusion and relaxing... you're lucky, sis!
