The Joys of Toilet Paper Shopping in Kenya
We have finally found some nice, soft toilet paper that we can afford. It is still sort of thin, but at least it’s not the scratchy “missionary stuff” that I was introduced to during our Africa-based orientation and which I feared it would be my fate to get used to. You can buy Charmin brand here, if you want to pay for it’s ticket on the airplane from North America to Kenya, which is usually a bit steep for my pocketbook. I admit I indulged myself when I first got here, but I couldn’t keep justifying the price. So we’ve been trying out different inexpensive brands and I believe we’ve finally found a keeper! It even comes in different colours: white, blue, or pink! We celebrate the little things here in away-from-Canadian-comforts-land.

Heehee! I think you should always buy the pink stuff. There's something soft and just nice about using pink toilet paper... and maybe a little odd. I'm glad that you get excited about the little things - it's often those that make a difference!!!
Oh, rats. I got two packages of blue. I didn't realize the superior qualities of pink...and I thought blue would match my bathroom better.
Oh... I'd be all over the pink.
