The Last Time for Everything

My school year is over. I admit that I am glad to have a break. It has been so emotional having everything come to an end. Term Three is a bit difficult, because there is this realization that you are doing everything for the last time with this group of people.
The last Junior Store…

okay, not really sad, since it will just be called Senior Store next term and we have to do it 6 more times…

But it WAS the last time I could go to the Store CafĂ© with my housemate, Sarah, and our friend, also named Sarah…

My last shopping trip in Nairobi with Andrea...

(Ice cream at the Italian place)

(Andrea with the Nakumatt Elephant)

The last time for all my special Seniors to come for dinner...
(Leah and Natalie are frequent guests...Leah has now graduated.)

Jedidiah's last performance...(I'm going to miss these guys a TON!)

The Seniors' last day as Seniors...
(Mel, me, and Leah)

My last Kenyan vacation with my friends...
(Andrea, Sandi, and me)

(This is really what we did for most of the time at the coast...I'm not posing)

(This was our one morning of sunny weather...it was cloudy for most of our time there, but it was still nice and hot.)

Thank goodness these two are both from Canada, so I will probably get to see them again. I'm going to miss them so much next year!

So my lasts are over…and now I must look forward to all the firsts that are ahead. Last night, for example, was my first night in my new house. I have been moved into a larger place so that I can have my small group practices at my house. I’ll have to do another post about my house, once I’m settled in and have some new curtains sewn and some good pictures of the place. I’m very happy with my new house, location, and absolutely gorgeous garden. I’m a bit frustrated with the new wood stove, though, because it keeps smoking up the living room. If anyone has any advice about how to keep this from happening, I'd really like to hear it.

That's it for now.

Hey! Now I get the smoke in the living room thing in your e-m to me the other day... I was wondering why it would start happening now when you've never complained about it before... but the new house and new stove would do it!

I especially liked the shirt you were wearing in the pic with Leah and Natalie... yay Bethany:)

Love ya!
