I don’t think I’ve ever had a midterm before where I’ve come out of it feeling more tired than how I went into it. This weekend was a break for most of the people at RVA, but a weekend of work from dawn to dusk for the Junior class and their sponsors. The big event of the season, the Junior/Senior banquet, is almost upon us, and the Juniors have been planning and preparing for this all year. This weekend we set to work to polish the drama and music, transform the drab, old hall into a breathtaking set, and finalize all the other details that go into this huge production. There was a lot to do, but it was fun to do work with the students and their parents and to see how much could get done in so short a time when we all worked together. The theme of banquet is top secret, but here are some pictures that don’t quite give it away. Next weekend, I can reveal the theme and let you how the night turned out.

Charese and Malindi

Tiffany and Sherry

Andrew and Sarah

Me and Natalie

Emily, Jin-Sol, and Odeke

good to hear from you in your emails!

Hey! I pulled a Heather... I read this blog but didn't actually comment on it at the time. I wish I could attend your banquet. You'll have to send me a TON of pictures.
Speaking of not commenting on time. I tend to read the blog a few days or weeks late and then comment. Probably when nobody is reading comments anymore! Is the top secret theme...Titanic? No, then how about Under the Sea? It's got to be named after some movie!
So, banquet is finished. What was the theme? What was the theme??? I'm dying to know. Please tell.... soon.
With all my love..
